Much has been said about the horrid murder of Miss August 1979 and
1980 Playmate of the Year, Dorothy Stratten. Tributes and documentaries
have been made along with various movies chronicling her life and death
over the years, but I've personally found this 1985 Playboy release to
be the most informative about the 20 year old beauty. With some footage
of Dorothy that you might not have seen before along with interviews with
virtually everyone that crossed her path while at Playboy, there's just
not much that isn't covered. Included is also footage of a discussion about
Dorothy and just how special she was, between Her and the man that took
her life. The tape that this came from is probably one of the rarest actual
Playboy releases and is definitely considered a collectible.
Stratten was murdered by her husband, Paul Snider.
The film investigates the playmate's past, the dynamics of her relationship with her husband, and the events surrounding her violent demise.

Like most popular movies, it doesn't take long before there's a copy-cat
right on the heels of success that the original brought in. Of course that
sure doesn't mean that the copy-cat is gonna be popular by any means.
So...you can't really just remake the first one, so ya change it up a bit.
Let's use the immensely popular RoboCop that came out in 1987 for an
example. We change it up by replacing Peter Weller with a girl. They'd had
'ol Pete pretty fuglied up in his movie, so let's make sure the girl we're using
is gonna be foxy. It's 1989 right now, Kathy Shower was just crowned
Playmate of the Year a couple of years ago or so ......and with a stroke of luck
on our part...she's an actress too to boot! Our script kinda sucks, stinkin'
good writers cost too much, so let's go ahead and give Kathy the title of
executive producer so she'll star in it even with the crummy script. All right
then! All set! Only thing is......sigh.......damn......Kathy decides after a
couple of weeks or so, that this movie was a helluva lot worse than she'd
thought, so she quits. Good thing we got all the close ups and nude scenes
of her on film hehe......we'll just stick a blonde wig on some no name chick
to finish this puppy up! All right now! The film's in the can and we're ready
to watch the money start rollin' in!
Well......I don't think much money at all came rolling any where near this
movie, but if you're a fan of Miss May 1985 and wanna see every movie
she's ever been in whether Kathy wants you to see this one or not, you're
in luck with this VHS rip of the 1989 release of Robo C.H.I.C.
